The NP Series Sliding Vane Pumps, part of the Iron Line, are specifically designed for versatility in handling a wide variety of clean, non-corrosive liquids. These general-purpose positive displacement pumps are ideal for applications requiring high temperature, high pressure, high viscosity, and specific shaft sealing needs, utilizing a sleeve bearing design. The Blackmer® sliding vane rotor design ensures consistent, high-level performance across a broad viscosity range, with slow operating speeds and non-pulsating flow to minimize shear and agitation.
The unique head and bearing design promotes long bearing life by allowing a small amount of fluid to flow from the discharge side to the bearings, creating a hydrodynamic film that reduces temperature rise. Self-priming and dry-run capable due to self-adjusting vanes, NP pumps can run dry for short periods, making them ideal for priming and line stripping. With high volumetric efficiency and symmetrical bearing support, these pumps require less horsepower than other PD pumps, enhancing efficiency and reducing operating costs.
Our Blackmer Fully Integrated Unit Assemblies provide a seamless, pre-engineered pumping solution. These assemblies include a motor, gearbox, baseplate, coupling safety covers, and an NP Stainless Steel Sliding Vane Pump, ensuring easy, alignment-free installation for immediate use.
